5 Years Old and Dreaming About the Future

Yes! Zimbowties has been alive for 5 years now (10 if we correct the count by weighing in the impact of 2020!). Anne and I were brainstorming the other night on where we might take things in the next 5 years.

One thought that came up was that we might get to a point where we have enough charity funds to potentially bring on a "Creativity Coach" full-time to run our Creativity Workshops. Then, when they're not running workshops they could then help run a "Creativity Centre" in our home city of Mutare.

The space would be where we run our Creativity Workshops but it would also provide a place for kids to come and work on any creative projects they have. This could be arts, crafts, or science. Anything creative. Think of a makerspace or a fab lab.

We know a number of people in Mutare running community centres that we might be able to piggyback on to test out this idea. It's just a distant dream for now but it really excites us to think that we could be planting the seed that helps grow Mutare into a creative hub of Zimbabwe and even Africa!
